Insulation is the
single most critical role in savings and comfort in your home.
If you can see the tops of the ceiling joists when you’re in the
attic (they are the wood boards located on the attic floor) you
need additional insulation. Department of Energy recommends in our high heat
climate that your insulation levels be a R38 to R49. Fiberglass insulation would be 15-18 inches of product. In most cases if
you have any existing insulation an R30 layer of insulation would be sufficient for your home. We only
certify what we install not an accumulative of what your house
currently has.
Cooler Attics will ensure you get what you pay for; we install the
insulation R values in accordance with the required bags of
product to achieve the particular R value that is being
requested. Do not be sold on thickness alone that leaves an
opportunity for a contractor to fluff product to make it seem
you now have sufficient levels, not always the case.
We also offer the attic tent to help stop heat transfer from the attic staircase into your home. Perfect for those located inside the home especially when their upstairs.

An application of R30 on a typical
one story 2000 square foot home with normal difficulty would
cost approximately (This is a rough estimate only- jobs will
vary):
